Let’s save the earth
Environmental science is a multidisciplinary field that studies the physical, biological and socio- geological environment in which we live. It looks into the cause and effect relationships of physical processes and their patterns on the environment. Environmental science was founded on the natural sciences like biology, chemistry and zoology. It combines these disciplines with geology, hydrology, climate change, land science and human psychology to form a solid scientific perspective on the environment.
Geology: Geology deals with the physical description and recording of the earth’s surface and mineral content. It also studies the functions and structure of the earth’s crust, mantle and upper layers using a variety of scientific techniques. The major fields of geology are mineralogy, structural geology, geological engineering and environmental geology. Geology majors will study the basic principles of how the Earth’s structures were formed, how they evolved and what impact they have had on the Earth’s environment. Geology major courses include: Mineralogy, Chemistry, Geology and Biology.
